My name is Lauren Wright and I am a Home Measuring Specialist for Charleston Measuring Services. I grew up in Mount Pleasant and graduated from Wando High School. My fascination for houses started out as a kid watching HGTV, drawing out my bedroom, and moving my furniture around (maybe that is what happens when your mom sketches houses for a living!) Then, I graduated to making sketches for plans around my house on James Island. Now, I sketch floor-plans and verify square footage for all of Charleston! I enjoy seeing all the houses and buildings Charleston has to offer. Whether it is an older house that is looking to be renovated, a historic house that has been meticulously kept up with lots of character, or a new build - there is always something to peak my interest in every property I walk into.

A Home Measuring Specialist is a square footage expert that focuses on the importance of price-per-square-foot. We are certified to take measurements and calculations and apply ANSI standards and other guidelines such as Fannie Mae. The Home Measuring Specialist certification is overseen by HomeMeasuringSpecialist.com.

Charleston Measuring Services is excited to announce we are now offering aerial imagery services and Site Plans!!  

Our drone services include high resolution photographs (48MP)  and video imagery (8K), aerial mapping (think Google Maps), and advanced thermal imagery. Our pilot is licensed through the FAA under Part 107 and insured with a drone fleet that includes the DJI Phantom IV Pro V2 and Autel EVO II 640T .

About Us

My name is Caroline Stafford.  In 2003, I started a career as a Real Estate Appraiser here in Charleston.  I  went on to become a Certified Residential Appraiser performing appraisals in Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties.

I have over 20 years experience measuring residential and commercial properties of all sizes and complexity.  ANSI, the industry standard for measurement is strictly followed in every assignment that I perform.

How It All Got Started...

Charleston Measuring Services has grown!  I am excited to announce the addition of Brian Stafford (my husband) and Lauren Wright (my daughter)!!

Brian's expertise is Property Measuring, Drone Services and Site Plans.

Lauren has mastered Property Measuring using the ANSI Standards!

During the appraisal process, measuring is only one small item on the list of tasks performed, but it's my favorite part!  That is why I have decided to devote all of my time to providing Residential and Commercial Measuring. 

 Square Footage is one of the main factors in Sales Price (price per square foot) and yet few take the time to accurately measure.

In my years of experience, I've learned to always take more measurements than necessary, you can never have to many!
